because they just kill it every time. it is utterly impossible for me to put into words how fucking obsessed i am with ratatat. we were first introduced in the fall of 2005 via the single "cherry," and, since then, we've been in a deeply committed relationship that just keeps giving back; every single they put out is somehow more amazing than the last.
